Looking for a car rental in Mirleft? This small town sits on Morocco's southern Atlantic coast, between Tiznit and Sidi Ifni, where rugged cliffs meet surf beaches and quiet coves. A rental car is the simplest way to link scattered beaches, cliff-top viewpoints and the small coastal towns around it at your own pace.
Mirleft is known for its surf beaches, cliff-top sunsets and laid-back pace. With your own vehicle you can explore Mirleft Beach, Aftas Beach, Legzira Beach and the nearby town of Sidi Ifni whenever you like, without depending on shared taxis or bus schedules.

Many travelers arrive via Agadir–Al Massira Airport or start from Tiznit, then drive south toward the coast. The road between Mirleft and Sidi Ifni is scenic, with cliffs and ocean views that reward a relaxed pace. A few practical tips:
If you are driving down from Tiznit, our guide to car rental in Tiznit covers the area and the Anti-Atlas.
Mirleft works well as a base for a mini road trip along southern Morocco's Atlantic coast. Beaches, surf spots and atmospheric towns are all within reach.
The town's main beach stretches below dramatic cliffs, with cafés nearby and sunsets that turn everything amber. Arrive early to find parking near the beach access points, and walk the cliff paths above for wider views of the ocean.
A smaller, more sheltered bay close to the town, Aftas Beach is popular with surfers looking for a quieter atmosphere. You can park on the cliff road above and walk down. It gets busier in high season, so arriving before midday helps.
Famous for its reddish cliffs and rock arch, Legzira Beach is a must on any Mirleft road trip. Tides affect access along the beach, so check local advice and tide times on the day. It is a superb spot for sunset photos.
This town south of Mirleft has Spanish-era Art Deco buildings, a fishing port and long beaches. Many travelers combine a morning in Mirleft with an afternoon in Sidi Ifni. Read our guide to car rental in Sidi Ifni to plan this part of the trip. From Sidi Ifni, the road continues toward Guelmim and the deep south.
Drive inland from Mirleft to discover hilltop viewpoints and small Amazigh villages. A standard car handles paved approaches, while an SUV gives more confidence on rougher tracks.
Mirleft is a compact town where most streets are walkable, but a car helps when your accommodation is on the outskirts: a cliff-top villa, a surf camp or a hotel up the hill.
Parking is mostly informal. You will find street parking near the cafés and shops in the centre, and pull-off spaces along the cliff roads near Mirleft Beach and Aftas Beach. Do not leave valuables in sight, and ask your accommodation about the safest nearby parking, especially in high season. Keep some cash handy for small purchases.
In town, share the streets patiently with pedestrians and scooters, slow down near the market and watch for crossings and speed bumps.
Rental conditions are set by each professional agency, so always read the exact conditions shown on the offer you choose on RentalMe. Agencies usually ask for:
Additional drivers, young drivers and one-way trips may come with specific conditions. Confirm the insurance and deposit requirements before you sign the rental agreement.
Before you leave the pickup location:
Comparing offers on RentalMe helps you understand the total cost, but each agency has its own fee and insurance structure. Read everything before you confirm.
Key points to review in each offer:
Possible extras include child seats, surfboard racks, an additional driver, or late return and out-of-hours pickup. Ask the agency if anything is unclear and keep confirmations in writing.
Mirleft is a good hub for a coastal road trip lasting from two days to a full week. Choose a vehicle that matches your luggage, passengers and appetite for adventure.
2-day express trip
Pick up your rental car in Agadir or Tiznit and drive to Mirleft for sunset at Mirleft Beach and dinner in town. On day two, spend the morning at Aftas Beach, then head south to Legzira Beach for an afternoon among the red cliffs. Continue to Sidi Ifni if time allows.
3-4 day slow coast
Settle in Mirleft for the first two nights. Take a surf lesson, walk the cliff paths and browse the shops in town. Spend a full day in Sidi Ifni, between the port, the Art Deco buildings and the beaches. On the way back, take a detour through inland viewpoints and small villages.
Extended route
Combine the coast with the deeper south. After Sidi Ifni, the road toward Guelmim opens the way to the desert regions. Loop back via Tiznit and the Anti-Atlas. Choose your vehicle category on RentalMe according to the terrain and the size of your group.
