You need a valid driving licence for the vehicle category, a valid ID or passport, and a RentalMe account. Each local agency sets its own extra conditions, such as minimum age or years of driving experience, and these are shown on the listing before you book.

A valid licence is always required. Whether an international driving permit is also needed depends on the country that issued your licence and on the agency's policy, so check the listing or ask the agency before you travel.

You must be at least 18 to create a RentalMe account. Many agencies ask for a higher age or a licence held for a minimum time, especially for larger or premium vehicles. The agency's requirements are shown on its listing.

Nothing is charged when you send your request: the amount is only held on your card (a pre-authorisation). When the agency accepts, RentalMe charges the whole rental, service fee included; only the deposit is settled with the agency, at pick-up, for the amount and by the method shown on the listing and in the rental agreement, and it is returned with the car. The exact amounts and the cancellation terms of your booking are shown at payment, before you book.

Yes: the vehicle is insured by the agency, and that insurance is included in the rental price. RentalMe checks each vehicle's insurance certificate before it goes online; no additional insurance is sold at checkout. Read the agency's rental agreement to see what is covered and the excess (franchise) that applies if the vehicle is damaged. Any deposit, shown on the listing, is paid to the agency when you pick up the car.

Prices depend on the vehicle, the city, the season and the length of your rental. Search with your dates on RentalMe to see live prices from local agencies, including any delivery and platform fees, before you pay.

Many agencies offer pickup in major cities and at airports, and some can deliver the vehicle to you for a fee. Search by your arrival city to see the options and any delivery fee on each listing.

Make sure everyone is safe, then report the incident immediately to the agency and to the relevant authorities. Take photos and keep all documents, as they are needed for the insurance claim.

Yes. Nothing is charged until the agency accepts your request: if you cancel before that, the amount held on your card is released. Within an hour of acceptance, everything is refunded, service fee included. For 7 days after acceptance, and at the latest until pick-up, you may withdraw (Law No. 31-08, article 36): everything is refunded except RentalMe's service fee. After that, the agency's option applies: Flexible (rental refunded in full up to 24 hours before pick-up, then half), Moderate (72 hours, then half) or Strict (7 days, then half up to 72 hours, then nothing). What is kept is only ever the rental price: delivery and options are refunded, except the delivery after a no-show, if the agency chose « rental and delivery kept »; the options are always refunded. If you do not show up at pick-up, depending on the agency's choice: the rental and the delivery are kept and the options are refunded to you, or one rental day is kept and the rest is refunded to you; RentalMe's service fee is kept. If the agency cancels, everything is refunded. The dates and amounts of your booking are shown at payment.

Respect the check-in and checkout times agreed with the agency. Check the vehicle's condition with the agency at pickup. Return it clean, with the same fuel level, and in the same condition; damage beyond normal wear may be charged.

Before opening an agency to bookings, RentalMe checks its trade register entry (RC), its common company identifier (ICE) and its manager's identity. This check lowers the risks, but it does not guarantee a vehicle's condition or how a rental goes: the agency answers for those. To keep RentalMe's protection, always pay on RentalMe and talk to the agency through RentalMe, never by a transfer or a payment outside the platform.
