Prepare a car rental in Morocco: compare written quotes, confirm documents, deposits and cover, and check the car at collection and return.
Write down your dates, collection and return points, passenger count and luggage. Decide whether you need a car throughout the trip or only for journeys outside the city. A smaller vehicle may suit urban parking; a longer journey may call for more luggage space and comfort. Do not assume that a vehicle category guarantees a particular model or access to every road.
RentalMe presents a vehicle-rental marketplace for Morocco. Read the individual offer and identify the professional agency supplying the vehicle. Confirm availability and the provider’s written terms before making travel plans around a booking.
Ask for the total for your actual dates, including any collection or delivery charge, additional driver, optional equipment and return to another location. Check the mileage allowance, fuel policy, late-return conditions and cancellation terms. A daily headline price alone does not tell you what the trip will cost.
Keep the offer and booking confirmation. If an advertised feature matters to you, such as an automatic transmission or a child seat, request confirmation for that reservation. Avoid treating a photo or a general blog article as a promise about inventory.
Ask which identity documents and driving licence the agency accepts for each driver. Tell the provider where the licence was issued and check any translation or international-permit requirements with the relevant official sources. Minimum age, licence tenure and additional-driver conditions must be checked for the actual offer; this guide does not set legal eligibility rules.
Confirm the accepted payment method, whose name must appear on a payment card, the deposit amount and how it is collected. Ask when and under what conditions the deposit is released, and what evidence you receive. Do not assume a booking is deposit-free.
A deposit and an insurance deductible are different things. Ask for the applicable cover, deductible, exclusions and incident procedure in writing. Check whether tyres, glass, keys, roadside assistance and any planned roads are covered. A label such as “full cover” needs an explanation in the policy; it does not establish that every cost is covered.
Confirm the exact meeting point and contact details. Leave time to read the contract and inspect the car in suitable light. Photograph visible marks, wheels, glass, interior, fuel level and odometer, and have discrepancies recorded on the handover report. Check that the agreed equipment is present and ask whom to contact if the car develops a problem.
Agree on the return location, opening hours, fuel level and inspection process. Keep time for refuelling and photographs. Request a return record and retain the contract, receipts and inspection reports. If there is a disagreement, ask for the charge and supporting evidence in writing.
