Rentalme.ma is a Moroccan platform specializing in car rental across major cities and airports, including Fes, Marrakech, Casablanca, Tangier, and Agadir. Major cities in Morocco have many car rental options available from both international and local agencies, but comparing them individually is time-consuming and risky.
Here is what sets the platform apart:
Vetted partners only – Rentalme.ma works with trusted local car rental companies in Fes, checking recent customer reviews, fleet condition, and insurance coverage before listing any supplier.
Transparent pricing – The price on the page already includes VAT, the Fez airport surcharge, and basic third-party liability insurance, so you pay what you see.
Flexible payment – Secure card payments online, with the option to pay part at reservation and the balance on pick up at the location.
Extras and promotions – Users regularly find a free upgrade when available, a free additional driver on selected offers, and seasonal discounts.
Centralized communication – Reservation changes, flight delays, and pick up questions all go through one location: rentalme.ma's support team, who coordinate directly with the local supplier for top notch service.
Car rentals in Fes can be picked up at Fes-Saïss Airport or downtown. Companies like Europcar offer a wide selection of vehicles at Fez Airport, while Avis and Yacout Tours each have 2 locations in Fez. Rentalme.ma aggregates all of them so customers can search, compare, and book from a single site.
Fez Saiss Airport, also written "Saïss Airport," is the main gateway to Fes, situated about 13 km south of the medina. Driving time to the city center is typically 20–30 minutes via a smooth dual carriageway.
When you book through rentalme.ma, pick up usually follows one of these formats:
Meet-and-greet – An agent meets you in the arrivals terminal with a sign bearing your name.
Airport desk – Walk to the rental counter inside the terminal after clearing customs.
Free shuttle bus – A shuttle bus takes you to an offsite car park 5–10 minutes from the terminal.
The process at arrival:
Collect your luggage and turn on your phone.
Meet the rental agent at the agreed point in the terminal.
Present your passport, driving license, and booking voucher.
Sign the contract, inspect the car together, and drive away.
Provide your flight number when booking on rentalme.ma so the local partner can track your arrival. If your flight is delayed, the agent will wait - most partners at Fez airport operate from around 07:00 until 22:30–23:00, though a fee may apply for nighttime pick up outside these hours.
During busy months (April, May, July, August), plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before your requested pick up time to avoid queues at popular counters.
Rentalme.ma lists everything from compact city vehicles to family vans and premium models, so travelers can match their budget and itinerary to the right car.

|---|---|---|---|
| Small car | Kia Picanto, Dacia Sandero, Fiat Panda | ~$19/day | Most popular rental type in Fez; ideal for city driving |
| Medium car | Renault Clio, Peugeot 301, Hyundai i30 | ~$59/day | Better for intercity trips with more luggage |
| SUV | Dacia Duster, compact crossovers | ~$115/day | Useful for mountain and desert routes |
| Vans / MPV | Volkswagen Caddy, 7-seaters | ~$43/day | Great for families or groups |

| Small cars are the most popular rental option in Fez, with an average price around $35 per day for well-known models and as low as $6.49 per day for the cheapest economy listings. The average price for small car rentals in Fez sits around $19 per day in low season. |
Automatic vehicles are less common in Moroccan fleets and typically carry a 15–40% premium over manual equivalents. If you need an automatic or a specific SUV, book well in advance to secure availability.
Rentalme.ma lets you filter offers by transmission, fuel policy, mileage (limited or unlimited), deposit amount, and included extras - making it easy to compare car rental rates across suppliers.
A rental car in Fes unlocks flexibility that no guided tour can match, especially for day trips and multi-day circuits across Morocco.
Volubilis & Moulay Idriss – About 1 h 30 via the N4. Stunning Roman ruins and a hilltop holy town.
Ifrane & Azrou – 1–2 hours via the N8 into the Middle Atlas. Cedar forests, Barbary macaques, and cool mountain air.
Sefrou waterfalls – Around 45 minutes south of the city.
The Fes–Midelt–Merzouga–Ouarzazate–Marrakech desert circuit is one of the most iconic drives in the country. A medium car works on paved highways, but an SUV is more comfortable on rural stretches. Rural road conditions can be poor and dangerous at night, so plan to finish each driving day before sunset.
Driving inside the old city of Fes is prohibited and challenging due to extremely narrow alleys. Parking is limited in the old medina, so park outside the walls in guarded lots and explore Fes el-Bali and Fes el-Jdid on foot - or hop in a petit taxi. Avoid rush hours (roughly 08:00–10:00 and 17:00–20:00) when aggressive driving behavior is common around the city.
Download your map for the Fes region in an offline navigation app before departure. Signal can be spotty on rural stretches between Fes and the desert.
Requirements in Fes are similar to the rest of the country, and rentalme.ma displays conditions for each offer before you book.
The minimum age requirement for car rental is generally 21 years; some car rental companies require 23 or 25 for SUVs and luxury vehicles.
A valid driver's license held for at least 1 year and a passport are required.
Documentation requirements include a credit card in the driver's name for the security deposit.
Many local agencies recommend an international driving permit, especially if your license uses non-Latin script.
A young driver fee may apply for renters under 25 - clearly shown in the rentalme.ma conditions.
Basic insurance (third-party liability and base CDW) is typically included in car rentals. However, the excess - what you pay if minor damage occurs - can range from €300 to €1,000 for small cars and up to €3,000 for luxury models. Comprehensive insurance coverage is advised; look for super cover or zero-excess options on rentalme.ma, usually costing €8–€15 per day.
Driving is on the right-hand side.
Seat belts are mandatory for all occupants.
Speed limits are 60 km/h in cities and 120 km/h on highways, with 100 km/h on national roads.
The legal blood alcohol limit is 0.02% - effectively zero tolerance.
Mobile phone use while holding the device is prohibited.
Fixed and mobile police radar controls are common, especially on autoroutes. Fines for violations can reach 700–2,000 MAD.
This section explains exactly what happens from search to drop-off when you use rentalme.ma for your moroccan adventure.
Search – On the rentalme.ma website, enter "Fes" or "Fez Saiss Airport" as your location. Select dates, times, and whether you want to pick up and drop off at the same airport, a city center office, or another Moroccan city.
Compare – The results page shows multiple offers from different partners. Each listing displays car photos, category (small, medium, SUV), mileage rules, fuel policy, deposit amount, and total price. Screen reader users and those using touch gestures can navigate the page with touch gestures double tap and forms mode support for accessibility.

Confirm – Rentalme.ma sends an instant email and usually a WhatsApp message with your voucher, supplier contact details, and precise pick up instructions.
After-sales – Need to modify your pick up time, send an updated flight number, or change dates? Contact rentalme.ma support via the feedback click link on the page, by phone, or WhatsApp. The team coordinates with the local supplier so you don't have to. For quick navigation on the site, use shortcuts like home jump left to return to the main search.
Small changes in planning, dates, and car category on rentalme.ma can significantly reduce the total cost of your rental.
Book in advance – Booking a rental car in advance is recommended for better rates. Book rental cars in Fez 51 days in advance for optimal pricing. Booking 5 months in advance averages about $40 per day, while last-minute bookings average $48 per day.
Travel in the cheapest month – The cheapest month to rent a car in Fez is March, with rates dropping to around $14 per day.
Compare small and medium – Medium cars sometimes have promotional prices close to small models, effectively giving a free upgrade in space and comfort.
Same-location return – Renting from Fez Saiss Airport and returning to the same location avoids one-way fees. Dropping off in a different city like Marrakech may add a significant surcharge.
Check mileage and fuel – Unlimited mileage plus a full-to-full fuel policy is usually better value for longer road trips across Morocco Fes and beyond.
Document everything – It is advisable to photograph a rental car's condition before driving off. Take clear photos and video at pick up and drop-off, and keep all fuel receipts to avoid deposit disputes and ensure faster release.
Taxis may be a cheaper alternative to car rentals if you only plan to stay within the city and don't need a car for day trips.
Do I need a car inside Fes? Not for the medina itself - walking and petit taxis are the best way to explore Fes el-Bali. A car becomes essential for trips outside the city to places like Chefchaouen, Volubilis, or Merzouga. Whether you need to rent depends entirely on your itinerary.
Is a credit card required? Yes - most agencies require a credit card in the driver's name for the security deposit. Some local partners may accept debit cards, but with stricter conditions. Payment for the reservation itself can be split between online and on-site through rentalme.ma.
What if my flight to Fez is delayed? When you provide your flight number at booking, rentalme.ma's partner tracks your arrival in real time. The agent will wait for your flight, though pick up outside normal desk hours (after roughly 22:00 pm) may incur an extra fee. Always double tap the confirmation details on your sign-in page to verify contact info.
Can I drive the rental car across borders? Most rentals from Fes cannot cross into Spain (Ceuta/Melilla) or Algeria. Any exception must be explicitly authorized in writing by the supplier, with specific cross-border insurance. Check the conditions before you book.
Are fuel stations easy to find? Between Fez airport and the city center, and on popular routes like Fes–Meknes and Fes–Ifrane, petrol stations are frequent. On remote desert tracks toward Merzouga, stations become scarce - fill up before leaving the highway.
Which international brands operate at Fez airport? Europcar, Sixt, Budget, Hertz, and Avis all have counters in the terminal. Rentalme.ma also lists local agencies, giving you access to a wider selection and often lower car rental rates than brand-name counters alone.
Ready to start your journey through Morocco? Visit rentalme.ma to search availability, compare offers from trusted partners, and lock in your reservation before peak-season prices climb. Your Fes adventure is a few clicks away.
